Michael A. Dotro (right), a 35-year-old Edison police officer , was charged with five counts of attempted murder and one count of aggravated arson on Thursday after he allegedly firebombed his police captain's home Monday in Monroe Twp. Edison Police Department Captain Mark Anderko was at home with his wife, children and 92-year-old mother on Monday morning when the fire broke out.

A 13-screen movie theater for Paramus Park mall, where food and beverages are likely to play a starring role, was given the go-ahead Thursday evening by the Paramus Zoning Board of Adjustment, which approved several key variances the shopping center needed to proceed with the project.
